Championship Battle Headlines the 28th Annual Featherlite Trailers Fall Jamboree at Deer Creek Speedway
Three complete nights of USMTS racing, more than $16,000 in feature winner’s purses and a week packed with activities await fans September 24-26
SPRING VALLEY, Minn. — One of dirt modified racing’s most prestigious and anticipated events returns to Deer Creek Speedway on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 24-26, when the 28th Annual Featherlite Trailers Fall Jamboree brings three complete nights of racing to the high-banked 3/8-mile oval.
The Fall Jamboree has produced unforgettable moments, dramatic finishes and legendary celebrations throughout its history. This year’s edition has all the ingredients to add another memorable chapter as the battle for the 2026 Wieland Metal Services USMTS National Championship reaches a critical point.
Each night will feature a complete program with its own payout. Thursday’s main event will pay $3,000 to win, Friday’s winner will also collect $3,000 and Saturday’s championship finale will award $10,000 to the winner. Drivers who do not qualify for Saturday’s main event will have another opportunity to compete in the $1,500-to-win Non-Qualifier Race.
With three nights of racing and valuable championship points available each night, the Fall Jamboree could have a major impact on who leaves the 2026 season as the USMTS National Champion.
Tight Championship Battle Heads to Deer Creek
Brandon Davis enters the Fall Jamboree as the Wieland Metal Services USMTS points leader, but the championship is far from decided.
Jim Chisholm trails Davis by only 69 points, while Tanner Mullens is 112 points out of the lead and Rodney Sanders is just 124 points behind. With the championship contenders separated by such a small margin and three complete nights of racing on the schedule, every heat race, passing point and feature position will matter.
Deer Creek Speedway could play a major role in the championship battle, especially with the experience several of the leading drivers have at the track.
Davis has recorded five USMTS victories at Deer Creek Speedway, while Chisholm owns four wins at the facility. Sanders has been one of the most successful USMTS competitors in Deer Creek history with 14 victories at the high-banked oval.
Mullens is still searching for his first USMTS victory at Deer Creek Speedway, and there would be no better time to earn it than during the Fall Jamboree with a national championship on the line.
The combination of Davis, Chisholm, Mullens and Sanders fighting for the title should make every lap of the weekend important. One great night could completely change the championship standings, while one mistake could prove costly.
Deer Creek Locals Ready to Defend Their Home Track
Winning at Deer Creek Speedway is never easy.
The track’s talented weekly competitors know every inch of the racing surface, and they have proven many times that they are capable of racing with and beating the best modified drivers in the country.
Keith Foss, Harley Dais, Alex Williamson, Jacob Bleess, Nick Murgic, Ryan Wetzstein, Zach Brom, Parker Hale, Shaun Walski, Landon Volkman, Cole Bennerotte and Steve Wetzstein are among the local and regional standouts capable of challenging for a Fall Jamboree victory.
The battle between the USMTS championship contenders and Deer Creek Speedway’s tough hometown competitors adds another layer of excitement to an already loaded weekend.
Drivers will have to be at their best every time they hit the racetrack. Three nights of racing at Deer Creek can test a team’s preparation, patience and ability to adapt as the racing surface changes throughout the weekend.
More Than Racing at the Fall Jamboree
The Featherlite Trailers Fall Jamboree has always been more than a race. It is a gathering of race fans, drivers, crews, families and friends who return year after year for the competition, activities and atmosphere surrounding the event.
A full schedule of activities is planned throughout the week, giving fans plenty to enjoy before and after the racing.
Wednesday Activities
The festivities begin Wednesday with a Receipt Scavenger Hunt. Fans can also gather in the B-Main Bar area behind the grandstands for post-race activities.
Thursday Activities
The Receipt Scavenger Hunt continues Thursday, along with Bingo, Musical Bingo and Word Scrabble. Game boards can be picked up at the South Building.
Following the racing program, the fun continues at the B-Main Bar behind the grandstands, with music playing over the public-address system.
Thursday’s racing program will conclude with a $3,000-to-win USMTS main event.
Friday Golf Outing and Activities
Friday morning marks the return of the Annual Fall Jamboree Golf Outing.
The outing will feature a four-person best-shot format at Meadow Greens Golf Course in the Austin/Lansing, Minnesota, area.
Golfers can choose between two options:
18 holes for $60 per person, with a meal included.
9 holes for $40 per person, with a meal included.
Golfers of all experience levels are welcome. Participants do not need to be part of a complete four-person team, as individual players can be paired with others at the golf course.
Back at Deer Creek Speedway, Friday’s activities will include the Receipt Scavenger Hunt, a rug-painting party, puzzle challenge, horse races, golf cart parade and Word Scrabble behind the grandstands.
Friday night’s racing will feature another complete USMTS program paying $3,000 to win.
Following the racing, fans can take their turn behind the microphone during in-house karaoke at the B-Main Bar.
Saturday Activities and $10,000 Finale
Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase Saturday as fans prepare for the biggest night of the weekend.
Saturday’s activities will include children’s activities, trivia, horse races and Word Scrabble.
The weekend will conclude on the racetrack with the $10,000-to-win Fall Jamboree main event. A $1,500-to-win Non-Qualifier Race will give additional drivers the opportunity to compete for a meaningful payday during the final night.
After the final checkered flag, fans who are staying at the speedway can continue the celebration at the B-Main Bar.
Three Nights That Could Decide a Championship
The Fall Jamboree has always demanded the very best from every driver and race team. This year, the pressure will be even greater.
Davis will attempt to protect his narrow championship lead. Chisholm will look to close a 69-point gap. Mullens will chase his first USMTS victory at Deer Creek, while Sanders will try to use his tremendous record at the speedway to propel himself toward another national championship.
At the same time, Deer Creek Speedway’s weekly stars will be ready to defend their home turf and add their names to the list of Fall Jamboree winners.
Three complete nights of racing. Three separate payouts. A $10,000 Saturday finale. A talented group of local challengers. Four drivers separated by only 124 points in the championship standings.
It all adds up to a can’t-miss 28th Annual Featherlite Trailers Fall Jamboree.
