Haas Speedway roars to life as Wahlstrom and Giossi claim Autumn Clash victories

31 10/10/2026 USRA Haas Speedway roars to life as Wahlstrom and Giossi claim Autumn Clash victories JIM FALLS, Wisc. (September 9-10, 2026) — Haas Speedway opened a new chapter Friday and Saturday with its grand opening Autumn Clash, welcoming five divisions to the revamped 3/8-mile clay oval. The MD3 USRA Late Models delivered two nights of action, with Josh Wahlstrom and James Giossi earning victories during the inaugural weekend. Friday’s program drew 26 USRA Late Model entries, and Wahlstrom became the division’s first winner at the revamped speedway. Starting outside the front row, Wahlstrom secured the victory in the 20-lap main event. Giossi advanced from sixth to finish second, followed by Mitchell Fenske in third. Jason McFadden claimed fourth, while Larry Fitzsimmons completed the top five. Saturday brought 23 USRA Late Model competitors back to Haas Speedway, and Giossi improved on his opening-night performance by charging from sixth to capture the victory. Caden Steffen-Ludwig earned the runner-up finish, while Lucas Peterson climbed from 11th to third to complete the podium. Zack Drews finished fourth, and Friday’s winner, Wahlstrom, rounded out the top five. With strong USRA Late Model fields both nights and two different feature winners, the Autumn Clash marked a successful grand opening for Haas Speedway and an exciting beginning for the Jim Falls racing facility. Haas Speedway’s next event is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, October 24. Fans and racers are encouraged to follow the speedway’s Facebook page for confirmation and additional event details.
