POWRi Racing to Sanction American Sprint Car Tour Beginning in 2027
Belleville, IL. (10/19/26) – POWRi Racing is pleased to announce the addition of the American Sprint Car Tour to its sanctioning lineup beginning with the 2027 season, bringing Indiana’s steel block non-wing sprint car competition into the POWRi family.
“Indiana has a strong tradition of non-wing sprint car racing, and the American Sprint Car Tour is a great addition to the POWRi family,” said Talin Turner, POWRi Racing Series Director. “We look forward to providing membership opportunities and series support to help strengthen the tour and its competitors as we head into next season.”
Focused on steel block non-wing sprint car racing, the American Sprint Car Tour will gain access to POWRi membership opportunities, series support, and resources available through the POWRi sanctioning platform. The partnership will provide a foundation for continued growth while supporting the competitors and teams who make the grassroots sprint car series possible.
“We are extremely proud to welcome POWRi into the ever-growing ASCT family,” said John Gurley of the American Sprint Car Tour. “The ASCT’s ‘DNA,’ as we like to call it, has always been rooted in providing an affordable alternative for non-wing sprint car racing, benefiting both teams and track promoters. With POWRi now working alongside us, we are more confident than ever that, together, we can lead the American Sprint Car Tour toward an exciting and successful future.”
The addition further expands POWRi’s involvement in sprint car racing, supporting competitors across multiple divisions and regions of the sport.
Additional details regarding the American Sprint Car Tour’s 2027 season, including its schedule, will be announced as they are confirmed.
