Zach Daum Dominates in POWRi National & West Midget League Win at Port City Raceway

Tulsa, OK. (10/10/26) — Zach Daum would cruise to back-to-back victories at Port City Raceway on Saturday night, earning his twenty-sixth career feature win with the POWRi National and West Midget Leagues in Night Two of the annual Charlene Meents Memorial after leading all thirty laps of the feature event. Speedy on-track excitement with thirty-three talented entries in the POWRi National and West Midgets would find Gaige Weldon starting the action with quick time in qualifying, posting a 9.864-second lap. Zach Daum, Ethan Mitchell, Cooper Miller, and Kale Drake would each notch heat racing wins, as Jonathan Beason and Landon Henry claimed the B-Feature victories. Launching the feature field would find high-point qualifier Zach Daum and Karter Sarff leading the field to the green flag, with Daum gaining the initial advantage on the opening lap. Dominating the feature from start to finish, Zach Daum would remain untouchable out front, maintaining command through multiple restarts and separating himself from the field by more than two seconds. Going virtually uncontested throughout the thirty-lap feature, Daum would cruise to his second consecutive victory of the weekend, with Kale Drake earning runner-up honors for the second straight night as Ethan Mitchell completed the podium when the checkered flag flew. “We didn’t touch hardly a thing all weekend on this car, Jody Rosenboom and team have this thing on a rail right now, and it’s just fun to drive. We have a happy race car right now,” said Zach Daum in the Tulsa winner’s circle.
